The Power of Thinking Small
Life is abundant in examples of how "thinking small" can provide significant payoffs. In the Biblical context, the fact that David was significantly smaller than Goliath was not as astounding as the fact that David defeated this gargantuan foe by using a very small, and seemingly innocuous, weapon: a small stone and sling.
Whether it is in the heat of athletic competition, or, something as casual as eating at your favorite restaurant, the things that separate the winners from the rest of the pact are usually small differences. In Olympic sprints, the victor can win by a fraction of a second. But, what may have attributed to the win is a minute difference in how a sprinter leans into the tape. With a favorite dining spot it may come down to tiny nuances in the spices they use, or, a simple "Thank you for dining with us," at the end of a meal. In life the small things are the big things.
